Dear colleagues,

I should convey very sad news to you.

Mr. Michael J. Owen, VK3KI, suffered a medical condition
on Saturday afternoon, 22 September and passed away.

Michel has been serving as the Chairman of IARU Region 3
since September 2006 with his excellent leadership and knowledge
in IARU arena.
His passing away is a great loss to the IARU Region 3.

He was also the president of Australian national society WIA
and his passing away is reported on WIA website.
